Under the guidance of Commandant Kumar Mayank of 159 Battalion CRPF, CRPF distributed blankets, towels, lungis to the elderly, school bags to children, pens and pencil boxes, utensils and sarees to women and bicycles, water drums and cricket kits to the youth for playing etc. among the poor and helpless in the rural area of village Misma of Sukma, a highly Naxal-affected area. Free treatment and medicines were distributed. Giving information about the above, Lokesh Kumar, Second Command Officer of 159 Battalion CRPF said that such programs are being run continuously under the Civic Action Program, the main objective of which is to create a sense of security among the villagers and to provide information about the beneficial schemes run by the Central and State Government to the general public as well as to establish mutual coordination between the villagers and the

administration and I am happy that you people participated in this program with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, Company Commander Atiqur Rehman Khan of F/159 Misma of 159 Battalion, Assistant Commandant and other soldiers and dignitaries of the battalion participated in the program and the rural people praised CRPF a lot for this public welfare work.
